Agreement to these terms

By downloading, installing, or using 26Keys (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

These terms apply to all users of 26Keys, which is distributed exclusively through the Apple Mac App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions.

2. About the Service

What 26Keys does

26Keys is an English writing improvement application for macOS that offers AI-powered writing feedback, daily writing exercises and prompts, progress tracking, and other tools designed to help professionals strengthen their English writing skills.

3. Use of the App

Permitted use

You may use the App for personal and professional writing improvement purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to circumvent any technical limitations in the App
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your right to use the App

4. Subscription & Payment

Handled entirely by Apple

26Keys offers premium features through a subscription, purchased via Apple's Mac App Store In-App Purchase system. All payments are processed entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information. Subscription management, renewals, and cancellations are handled through your Apple ID settings. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

5. No Account Required

Your data stays local

26Keys does not require you to create an account. During setup, you provide a name to personalize your experience. This can be your real name or a nickname — we do not verify this information against any external source. All your writing data is stored locally on your Mac or, if you choose to enable it, in your own iCloud account.

6. Your Content

It belongs to you, always

Any text you write or paste into 26Keys belongs entirely to you. We do not claim any ownership over your writing. Your content stays on your device and is never stored on our servers.

When you use AI-powered feedback features, your content is sent to third-party large language model (LLM) providers for processing but is not stored or used to train any AI model. We recommend that you do not include sensitive personal information in content submitted for AI processing.

7. Intellectual Property

Owned by Jambav, Inc.

26Keys and all of its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to its software, design, text, graphics, and the selection and arrangement thereof — are owned by Jambav, Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Mac App Store Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Provided as-is

26Keys is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Writing coaching and suggestions provided by 26Keys are intended as a tool to assist your writing, not as a substitute for professional editorial, legal, or other expert advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

No indirect damages

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jambav, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption — arising from your use of 26Keys.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not fully apply to you.

10. Changes to These Terms

We'll keep you informed

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice through an App update or on our website. Continued use of 26Keys after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

State of Delaware

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
